The Department of Archives and Special Collections (ARSPC) in the Thurgood Marshall Library of Bowie State University is the repository of record for inactive permanent records that document the activities, policies, administration and history of Bowie State University (University Archives). Andrews Study (SML & ) houses the Charles McLean Andrews Memorial Collection of American Colonial History, about 3, volumes of Anglo-American historical sources and works. These theater playbills and programs provide information about variety theater productions, including names of performers, productions, the different acts that comprised an evening's entertainment, and advertisements.
The items selected represent all the variety-related materials found among the thousands of souvenir theater playbills and programs housed in the Rare Book and Special.

The Tremont Theatre (est. ) was a playhouse in Boston, Massachusetts, in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Henry E. Abbey and John B. Schoeffel established the enterprise and oversaw construction of its building at no Tremont Street in the Boston Theater District area.
